How To Run Mini Tournaments In Ladders

For pickleball groups: This guide covers the live manager workflow for mini tournaments: choose the roster, seed pools, generate games, run round robin, create the knockout stage, and finish with clean results and summaries.

Padel doubles

Padel mini tournaments support doubles only. Rotating doubles require 8 or 16 players in one or two pools of 8; mixed doubles need balanced genders. Fixed pairs use round-robin pools with at least three pairs per pool.

Choose preset or custom rules at setup; they lock after schedule generation. Every pool and knockout matchup retains its rules. Managers and participating players enter complete sets; set wins decide matches.

Pool standings rank by match wins, set differential, game differential, then games for. Use seeded knockout with byes, and resume with saved rules, lineups and results.

Corrections retain the actor, timestamp, previous result and new result. Pool corrections reset knockout qualification; winner-changing knockout corrections clear later results so they can be replayed. Saved summaries show games for and against.

1. Start

Launch the event

Open the group menu and choose Mini Tournament.

2. Players

Select the roster

  • For pickleball groups: Use gender-neutral or MXD mode if needed.
  • Choose 8 or 16 players only.
  • Review ratings before confirming the field.

3. Courts

Set court names

Provide clear court names or numbers so game cards and live assignments stay easy to follow.

4. Structure

Set pools and qualifiers

  • 8 players creates one pool.
  • 16 players creates two pools.
  • Choose how many players advance to knockout.

5. Run

Play through to the final

  • For pickleball groups: Generate round robin games and lock them.
  • Enter scores and follow live standings.
  • Generate knockout, finish rounds, and end the tournament.
